Are you looking for a new job or considering a career or job change?
What you can accomplish at one of our job fairs could take you months on your own! Our job fairs are conducted in various cities of East Texas in a professional, yet relaxed environment conducive to candidate-recruiter interaction. With more than ten years in the career fair business, we are confident that our venue allows for job seekers and employers to talk freely without the stress of a formal interview situation. Employers often use this initial encounter to decide who to contact for a follow-up interview. This is your chance to gain a competitive edge in the recruiting process!
Do you need special services to help find work?
Members of specific populations, such as veterans, women seeking non-traditional employment, older workers, persons with a disability, "dislocated" workers, or economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth, may be eligible for special services. Come and learn about the services you need to make the right choices in your job search or career moves at our job fairs.

Job Fair Insights
Job fairs are an important part of the recruiting and job search process. Many people are able to take full advantage of them through preparation and understanding how employers use job fairs for recruiting new employees. Here are some tips to make the Amarillo Job Fair work better for you.
Planning Ahead Mark your calendar-include the date, time, and location of the job fair! Make arrangements for childcare, transportation, and time off from work ahead of time if necessary. It is better to attend during the early part of the job fair if possible. Be sure to give yourself enough time to visit with all of the employers present.
Dress for Success Appropriate dress and grooming are critical for making a good first impression. The image you present greatly influences your chances of being hired. Clothing should be neat and clean, conservative, and appropriate for the occupation you are pursuing. Personal grooming is just as important as what you wear. Before leaving home or work take a "top to bottom" look at yourself. Cleanliness is vital. Hair and fingernails must be well groomed. Jewelry and makeup can be distracting if overdone. Avoid using perfumes, colognes, and after-shave. How you view yourself will affect your level of confidence. Look great-feel great about yourself!
Work History and Education Information Bring a good supply of resumes to the job fair. Education transcripts, certificates, letters of reference, or other documents supporting your qualifications might also be useful. Complete a Master Application to copy from when filling out individual employer applications. This will enable you to complete applications much faster and more accurately.
Develop Your Strategy As soon as you arrive, study the booth layout map and mark the location of the employers you most want to visit. Allow yourself some time to "warm up" by talking to a few other employers first. You will then have greater confidence when you start calling on the employers you marked. Take advantage of the opportunity to visit with all employers. There may be job possibilities available that you have not considered.
Keep Track of your Contacts When talking with dozens of companies over a short period of time, it is easy to get them mixed up. As soon as you leave a booth, take a few minutes to jot down notes about your visit. Include information about the employer, their application process, and how to contact them for follow-up. List questions that you want to ask, and make notes on how to increase your chances of being hired.
Treat Contacts the Same as Interviews Your contact with prospective employers participating in the job fair may seem informal and conversational. Still-the employers are forming an opinion about you. Always approach the employer as if you just arrived at their place of business for an interview. Act relaxed and interested.
Job Search Research A great benefit of attending job fairs is that you make contact with dozens of employers in a few hours. You have the opportunity to obtain information from many different employers and learn more about the types of positions they have available. Pick up information on organizations of interest and review it later for possible follow-up.
